The goal for this on-line demonstration is to illustrate the very powerful and effective All-In-One program-centric high productivity tool. Look alike products from early on disappeared from the market because these products packaged the language functions instead of presenting business objects that can be used by any application under any framework. So, when the framework changes, these products demand their users to re-code to the new format and hence lost it's usefulness. The ASP-db approach is to allow the user to define their application in a script. When framework changes, they do not have to re-code because all the re-code will be done by ASP-db and not by the user. A very good example is the input Regular Expression Validation feature originated by ASP-db in 1998. The framework have since changed from ASP to VB Web Class to ASP.Net. The original ASP-db as well as the present ASPdb.Net (Tornado) users are still using the same script to perform the same validation. Another good example is the RemoteScripting feature used by Dynalist. This feature is discarded in DotNet without a good reason. Your application using this feature will be broken until you replace it with an equivalent. In ASP-db.Net, a more powerful version of Dynalist is made available in an invisible manner. So, your application is as strong as it's weakest component. You are in a much safer mode if ASP-db is doing the integration for you.
