| Demo - Introduction |
| In order to evaluate any DotNet product,
it is necessary to setup the
DotNet FrameWork 1.0 or .1.1 in a W2K, XP-Pro or W2003 server. If you are just in the process of looking for a
solution for your Web based programming applications, this unfamiliar setup task can become cumbersome
and can skew the result of your findings if you are not doing it right. For
example, the ODBC driver is an add-on in version 1.0 but is included in W2003.
Installing the wrong version of DLL in the O/S will cause a total failure. Even after a successful setup, you'll be overwhelmed by the very powerful
features of Tornado and you'll be tempted to get to the intense programming task
right away rather than
evaluating the product. Further more, this demo consists of the Gold
version examples which is not included in the
Evaluation package (Enterprise Version). This demonstration is prepared to let you feel the "Business Object" approach of Tornado. That means, you'll be spending the time in designing your application logic rather than trying to figure how to program a certain feature. Or in even worse case, you might be looking for individual separate components to purchase counting on a successful integration down the road. All example code in this demonstration are actual production code and can be executed in a "Live" manner. While the download package contains only the "Enterprise" version, this "live" demo covers the full spectrum "Gold" version. The evaluation package contains 4500 files but only two of them are mandatory - 'tornado.dll' and 'global.asax'. The rest are supporting files like css, button images and template etc.. The component level features of ASP-db and Tornado is unmatched since the ASP days. You would not find too many Web DB middleware products that has an ASP and ASP.Net versions with that many integrated features. So, sit back and enjoy this magical demo! You'll be very impressed at the least. If you have any technical or non-technical questions after viewing the demo, give us a call and talk to our very knowledgeable support engineers. You'll have a chance to download the evaluation package at the 'Summary' Page. |
